Jessica Hughes, RN, CPNP, is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who provides care for well children in addition to addressing acute care issues. Jessica is proud to serve the children in Kansas City, Missouri, at Kansas City Pediatrics.
Jessica is a graduate of the University of Nebraska where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree. She then attended the University of Missouri and earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing. Jessica has always had a love for pediatrics and worked as a pediatric nurse in the intensive care unit for four years. She joined Kansas City Pediatrics in 2004, and since then has been practicing as a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Jessica takes pride in educating parents and supporting them through those first few months with a new baby. This includes providing well-child checks, vaccinations, and checking out all those rashes, fevers, or fussing that may be causing parents to feel uneasy at home. Making parents and children feel comfortable in the healthcare setting and establishing a relationship with patients has always been a priority for Jessica and it is those patient relationships that have kept her at Kansas City Pediatrics.
Jessica is happily married and keeps busy raising her family of three boys: Cameron, Parker, and Jackson. She and her family enjoy Royals baseball games, Husker football, and spending time with family and friends. As a busy mother of three young boys, including a newborn, she has made caring for your newborn and young children a priority.
