AFTER-HOURS
The providers take calls from their homes after hours. Please save routine questions (mild illness, appointments, prescription refills) for daytime office hours. We encourage you to refer to our website for helpful medical information, when practical, before calling the physician on call.
If you have an urgent concern outside of office hours, our pediatricians believe in direct communication with our patients. After hours we offer direct access to the provider through an innovative paging system. Simply call the main office number and talk after the tone; when you hang up we are immediately paged with your message. Our providers are truly just a phone call away at all times!
Please remember that we offer convenient early morning walk-in clinic Monday - Friday from 7 to 8 am and Saturday morning clinic walk-in hours from 8 to 11 am for your after-hours needs.
If an emergency should arise, please call 911. Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.
If you have concerns regarding ingestion or poisoning, please call the Poison Control center for guidance at 1-800-222-1222.
If you must be seen after hours when our office is not open, we recommend that you be seen at a Children's Mercy location.
